What is Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)?什么是传统中医（TCM）？

TCM is a comprehensive medical system developed over 2,000 years. It views the body as an interconnected whole — using acupuncture, herbal medicine, manipulation, and dietary guidance to restore balance and address the root cause of illness, not just symptoms.中医是有两千多年历史的完整医学体系，将人体视为相互联系的整体，以阴阳平衡为核心，通过针灸、中药、推拿及饮食调理来治本而非只治标。

Does TCM work alongside Western medicine?中医可以与西医并用吗？

Yes — integrative care is increasingly common. Many patients use TCM to complement Western treatment, particularly for chronic pain, recovery, digestive health, and stress. Our practitioners will always advise you if your condition requires urgent conventional medical attention. Please continue any existing prescribed medication unless advised otherwise by your Western doctor.可以——中西医结合越来越普遍。许多患者以中医辅助西医治疗，尤其在慢性疼痛、术后康复、消化健康及压力管理方面。若您的情况需要紧急西医处理，本院医师必定会告知您。在西医医师另有指示前，请持续服用既有的处方药物。

How many sessions will I need?我需要几次治疗？

This varies by condition and individual constitution. Acute concerns (recent pain, mild digestive issues) often respond within 2–4 sessions. Chronic or complex conditions may require longer-term care. Your practitioner will give you an honest assessment at the first consultation.视病情及个人体质而定。急性问题（近期疼痛、轻微消化问题）通常 2–4 次内见效；慢性或复杂病症可能需较长期调理。首诊时，医师会诚实地给您评估建议。

Is TCM safe? Are there side effects?中医安全吗？有副作用吗？

When practised by a licensed, registered practitioner, TCM is generally safe. Acupuncture may cause mild soreness or bruising at needle points. Herbal medicine is prescribed specifically to your constitution — we never use a one-size-fits-all formula. Our practitioners are T&CM Act 2016 registered and MOH licensed. Always disclose existing medications and health conditions at consultation.在持牌、合法注册的中医师施治下，中医一般安全。针灸可能在穴位处有轻微酸胀或瘀青。中药处方根据个人体质开立，绝不采取一刀切配方。本院医师均依 T&CM 2016 法令注册，并持卫生部执照。请务必在问诊时告知所有现有药物及健康状况。

How accurate is an online TCM consultation?线上中医问诊准确吗？

For many conditions — especially those involving pain, stress, sleep, digestion, and constitution-based concerns — a video consultation with tongue photo analysis is clinically comparable to an in-person visit. Our practitioners conduct a thorough intake: tongue assessment, symptom history, lifestyle, and pulse description. Physical acupuncture and manipulation require an in-person visit, and your practitioner will advise you if this is necessary.就许多情况而言——尤其是疼痛、压力、睡眠、消化及体质类问题——配合舌诊照片的视讯问诊，临床效果与亲诊相当。本院医师会做完整问诊：舌诊、症状史、生活习惯与脉象描述。针灸及推拿等需动手的治疗则须亲自到诊，医师会告知您。

What happens during an online consultation?线上问诊过程是怎样的？

You will join a secure video session with a licensed practitioner. They will ask about your symptoms, lifestyle, and medical history. You may be asked to show your tongue and describe your pulse. After the session, your practitioner writes a personalised treatment plan, which may include a herbal prescription, dietary recommendations, and follow-up guidance.您将透过加密视讯与持牌中医师对谈。医师会询问症状、生活习惯与病史，可能会请您伸舌并描述脉象。问诊结束后，医师会撰写个人化治疗方案，内容可能包含中药处方、饮食建议及后续追踪。

What conditions are NOT suitable for online consultation?哪些情况不适合线上问诊？

Any emergency or acute condition requiring urgent medical care should go directly to A&E — call 999. Conditions requiring hands-on physical assessment (e.g. complex spinal injuries, post-surgical care) require an in-person visit. Your practitioner will tell you clearly at the start of the session if an in-person assessment is needed.任何紧急或急性需要立即医疗处置的情况，请直接前往急诊室或拨打 999。需要动手评估的病症（如复杂脊椎损伤、术后照护）必须亲自到诊。问诊一开始时，医师会明确告知您是否需要亲诊。

What is the AI Wellness Assessment — is it a diagnosis?AI 健康评估是什么——算诊断吗？

No. The AI Wellness Assessment is an educational tool — it analyses your tongue photo and constitution questionnaire to generate a wellness insight about your body type and likely imbalances. It is not a medical diagnosis. Every AI report is reviewed and approved by a licensed TCM practitioner before it is sent to you. Do not use it to self-treat or replace a clinical consultation.不是。AI 健康评估属教育性工具——透过分析您的舌诊照片及体质问卷，提供体质倾向的健康参考，并非医疗诊断。所有 AI 报告皆由持牌中医师审核及核可后才发送。请勿据此自行治疗或取代正式问诊。

Where do your herbs come from?您们的药材来源是哪里？

All herbs and formulas are sourced from verified Malaysian and international suppliers who meet our quality standards. Every product is labelled with its Chinese name, pinyin, and sourcing information. Prescription herbs are reviewed by your practitioner before dispatch. Over-the-counter items in the herb shop are listed as herbal food supplements — not medicinal products — unless prescribed.所有药材及方剂均采自符合本院品质标准、经过验证的本地及国际供应商。每款产品均附中文名称、拼音与来源资讯。处方药材在出货前经您的中医师审核；商店中非处方类则以「草本食品补充品」形式贩售，并非医疗药品。

Can I order herbs without a consultation?没有问诊可以购买中药吗？

Selected over-the-counter items (general wellness teas, single herbs) are available in the shop without a prescription. Prescription-grade formulas require a consultation with a HansMed practitioner, who will review and approve the order before it is fulfilled. We do not dispense prescription herbs without practitioner sign-off — this protects your safety.指定的非处方品项（一般养生茶、单味药材）可于商店无需处方购买。处方等级的方剂必须先经本院中医师问诊核可后才出货。为您的用药安全，我们不会在没有医师签署的情况下发出处方药材。

Do the herbs interact with Western medications?中药会与西药相互作用吗？

Some herbs can interact with pharmaceutical medications — particularly blood thinners, diabetes medication, and immunosuppressants. Always disclose all medications at your consultation. Our practitioners are trained to identify and avoid interactions. Never self-prescribe herbal medicine if you are on long-term pharmaceutical treatment without practitioner advice.部分药材可能与西药相互作用，尤其是抗凝血剂、糖尿病药及免疫抑制剂。问诊时请务必告知所有正在服用的药物。本院医师受过训练，能识别并避免相关交互作用。长期服用西药者，切勿在未经医师指示前自行服用中药。
